Stained Glass Stories

Event Status : Open

Children will create their own stained glass-inspired artwork featuring a mosque or a camel, using cellophane.

Suitable for ages : 6+

Bring the magic of light and colour to life in this hands-on workshop! Children will create their own stained glass-inspired artwork featuring a mosque or a camel, using cellophane. As they cut and assemble their pieces, participants will explore the beauty of Islamic architecture and storytelling, while experimenting with colour, light, and composition. Each finished artwork will glow when displayed in the sun, making it a vibrant keepsake to treasure. No prior experience is needed, just creativity, imagination, and a love of colour!

In its ongoing commitment to combatting Islamophobia, the Islamic Museum of Australia champions an understanding and appreciation for Islamic art and culture. The school holiday workshops are supported by the Victorian Government.
