Saturday 13th September 2025
Open Mon-Sat, 10am to 4pm. Closed Sunday and all public holidays.
Join us at the IMA Gala Dinner for an exclusive night of celebration, connection, and the unveiling of our transformative next chapter.
Since its inaugural event in 2012, the Islamic Museum of Australia’s Gala Dinner has grown into a signature celebration of Australia’s rich multicultural fabric and the Museum’s role at its heart.
From powerful keynote addresses by leaders such as Dr Umber Rind, Ahmed Fahour AO, and Professor Mohamad Abdalla, to memorable performances by artists including Mitch Tambo, Nazeem Hussain and Ilyas Mao, the Gala has become a highlight of the community calendar—an evening that inspires, entertains, and brings people together.
Held at the iconic Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Gala is now a premier occasion that draws a diverse and dynamic audience from across the country.
In 2025, the Gala will offer something truly special. For the first time, we will share the Museum’s bold vision for the years ahead—an exciting reimagining of our spaces and experiences, including plans to activate a newly acquired parcel of land adjacent to the Museum. This next chapter will deepen IMA’s connection to community, expand our reach, and redefine what a cultural institution can be.
Join us as we come together over good food and conversation, honour our shared values, and look ahead to a vibrant future shaped by inclusion, creativity, and collective purpose.
