Join Wafa for a hands-on Maamoul making workshop that brings together tradition, culture, and community. This session offers participants the opportunity to learn the art of preparing these beloved Middle Eastern date-filled cookies, guided by knowledge passed down through generations.
More than just a cooking class, this workshop creates a space for connection, storytelling, and shared experience, where food becomes a bridge between memory, identity, and togetherness. Participants will learn the techniques, meanings, and cultural significance behind Maamoul, while enjoying a warm, welcoming environment that celebrates heritage through food.
A beautiful opportunity to gather, create, and connect through one of Ramadan’s most cherished traditions.
In its ongoing commitment to combatting Islamophobia, the Islamic Museum of Australia champions an understanding and appreciation for Islamic art and culture. The Mamoul Making workshop is supported by the Victorian Government.
