In line with the Child Wellbeing and Safety Amendment (Child Safety Standards) Act 2015, the Islamic Museum of Australia (IMA) is committed to upholding the Victorian Child Safe Standards, to the best of its abilities and resources.
All children visiting or engaging with the IMA's spaces, platforms and programs have a right to feel and be safe, respected, valued and protected from harm. This includes all ages, abilities, gender identities, culturally and/or linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Should a safety concern present itself during your visit, please alert staff immediately. Established processes will be followed to ensure the safety of all visitors.
The welfare and wellbeing of children is of utmost priority. The IMA has zero tolerance for child abuse. All necessary steps will be taken by IMA staff and volunteers to prevent and protect children from physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, cultural abuse and neglect. This includes protection from other children and visitors.
